We tested every major feature area and rated each one individually. Here is how Jobber performs where it matters most for service businesses.
Jobber nails scheduling. The calendar view is clean and intuitive, with drag-and-drop functionality that just works. You can set up one-time jobs, recurring appointments, and multi-visit projects without confusion. The dispatching board gives you a bird's-eye view of your crew's day, and the route optimization feature (available on Connect and up) helps reduce drive time between jobs. It is not as powerful as ServiceTitan for managing massive multi-crew operations, but for teams of 1-15 people, it is one of the best scheduling experiences available.
Invoicing is where Jobber consistently earns praise. You can generate invoices from completed jobs in a couple of taps, batch invoice multiple jobs at once, and accept credit card, ACH, and even check payments. Automatic payment reminders chase down overdue invoices so you do not have to. Jobber Payments processes cards at approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, which is competitive. The ability to set up automatic payments for recurring clients is a standout feature that saves significant admin time.
Jobber's client hub stores everything you need in one place: contact details, property information, job history, communication logs, and billing records. You can add custom fields, attach notes and photos, and see a complete timeline of every interaction with a client. It works well as a service-business CRM. However, it lacks lead scoring, sales pipeline management, and advanced follow-up sequences that a dedicated CRM or a platform like OPS Engine would provide. For managing existing clients, it is solid. For managing sales leads, you will need something else.
Quotes look professional and can include line items, descriptions, optional add-on packages, and terms. Clients can approve quotes online with a click, which speeds up your sales cycle. The Grow plan adds automated follow-ups that nudge clients who have not responded, and the ability to attach images to line items helps clients understand exactly what they are paying for. For standard service work, the quoting system is more than adequate. For complex project bids with phased pricing, it can feel limiting.
This is Jobber's crown jewel. The mobile app is fast, reliable, and genuinely pleasant to use. Your techs can view their schedule, get directions, clock in and out, complete job forms, collect payments, capture photos, and send invoices -- all from their phone. Both the iOS and Android versions are well-maintained and receive regular updates. The app consistently earns 4.5+ stars on both app stores. If mobile usability is a top priority for your business, Jobber is the best in the field service space, period.
Jobber provides a decent set of reports covering revenue, job profitability, team performance, and quote conversion rates. The Grow plan unlocks job costing reports that show you whether individual jobs are actually making money. Compared to the basic reporting in Housecall Pro, Jobber is a step ahead. However, compared to enterprise platforms like ServiceTitan or Aspire, the reporting is still fairly surface-level. You cannot build fully custom reports or create advanced dashboards. For most small to mid-size businesses, the built-in reports cover the essentials.
This is Jobber's weakest area. While they have added email and postcard campaigns, the marketing tools are basic compared to what Housecall Pro offers natively. Automated review requests help you build your online reputation, but there are no advanced drip campaigns, lead nurturing sequences, or referral management tools built in. If marketing automation is critical to your growth strategy, you will need to supplement Jobber with third-party tools or consider a platform that has it built in.
Jobber has one of the stronger integration ecosystems in the field service space. Native connections include QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Stripe, Zapier, Mailchimp, FleetSharp, and CompanyCam. The Zapier integration opens up connections to thousands of additional apps. They also offer an open API for custom integrations, which is available even on lower-tier plans (unlike Housecall Pro, which locks API access behind its top tier). For businesses that rely on a connected tech stack, Jobber plays well with others.
